A E what?s the difference. While you didn?t go to collage, I did. I have also completed numerous certifications that put me in the top 25% of my industry.

I accomplished all that with severe dyslexia. Tel me, can you read the following sentence?

My grandmother had 7 siblings. All of them married and had kids except for her one sister, who never married and had a child out of wedlock. All though school, the other kids would tease her and call her "bastard," etc. My grandmother always said that it made the rest of the kids love her (and the kid) even more, almost to the point of becoming overprotective of her. This was eastern Kentucky in the 1930s-40s, hardly an area where one would expect to find tolerant thinking.

To fire a teacher for that in this day and age seems rather....what's the best word here....archaic? (although, truth be told, the cynic in me has trouble believing that was the real reason she was fired, she probably pissed someone off or didn't kiss the right butt or whatever).

At the same time, any maybe this is out of the other side of my mouth, I don't have a problem when the pregnant valedictorian is not allowed to deliver the commencement speech. And as I'm thinking about it, maybe I'm being hypocritical.

Let me ponder this....
